Bug Day is hosted by HSC Winnipeg in collaboration with the University of Manitoba’s Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Medicine Program and is held every year during National Infection Prevention & Control Week.

27th Annual Bug Day | October 17, 2023

Bug Day offers a diverse collection of topics relating to infection prevention and control, infectious diseases and public health. A specific focus will be the immunocompromised host, either from patients receiving immunosuppressive therapy or those who have infection with the human immunodeficiency virus.

26th Annual Bug Day | October 18, 2022

This year will focus on a wrap up of concepts pertaining to COVID and COVID vaccination as well as basic principles in surveillance, specifically for tuberculosis and other antimicrobial resistant pathogens observed in Canada. In addition, the program’s themes also focus on the past and future of the Canadian Healthcare System.

BUG DAY is Manitoba’s largest healthcare education event and it is held every year during National Infection Prevention & Control Week. Join locally, nationally and internationally recognized experts for this popular day-long symposium focusing on hot topics in infection prevention and control, infectious diseases and public health.

These recordings are eligible for non-certified Mainpro+ credits and Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Section 2: Self-Learning credits. These are self-reporting through the respective Colleges.
