Addressing micro-aggressions in clinical settings is important for both our learners and our patients. Using the micro-aggressions triangle model, this workshop will explore an approach to dealing with micro-aggressions in the moment.

Learning Objectives:  

  • Recognize instances of micro-aggressions in the clinical setting​
  • Describe the impact of micro-aggressions on clinical care ​
  • Explain challenges to confronting micro-aggressions in a clinical setting​
  • Apply the presented frameworks to clinical cases in observed role plays
