Speaker

Dr. Peter Fritz,  LLM, PhD, FRCD(C), FACD, MBA, DDS

Dr. Peter Fritz stands at the intersection of clinical excellence, technological innovation, and healthcare law as Chair of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada’s Committee on Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Digital Technology. His unique combination of expertise – including an LL.M. in Innovation, Law and Technology, an MBA from Kellogg/Northwestern, and a Ph.D. in molecular biology – positions him as a leading voice in dentistry’s AI transformation.

As a certified specialist in periodontics, Dr. Fritz leads an innovative practice in Fonthill, Ontario, where he actively implements and studies AI applications in clinical care. His practice serves as a living laboratory for integrating technologies like AI-powered diagnostic tools and automated documentation systems while maintaining the essential human elements of patient care. Under his leadership, the practice has become internationally recognized for its innovative approach to combining technological advancement with compassionate care.

An intrepid global learner and advocate for responsible innovation, Dr. Fritz has benchmarked AI implementation and digital transformation at more than 40 world-class clinics across 25 countries. His insights into AI’s impact on healthcare delivery are enhanced by his legal expertise in technology law and his ongoing research as an Adjunct Assistant Clinical Professor affiliated with multiple universities.

His guiding principle remains: “Give me success or its eternal pursuit, and I’ll take the pursuit” – a philosophy that drives his continuous exploration of how AI can enhance rather than replace the art and science of dentistry.
