Best Practices and Lessons Learned Teaching with Zoom (Panel Discussion)

Description:

On March 18th, 2020, in response to the covid-19 pandemic, all courses at the UofM were moved to a virtual learning environment.  Faculty members in the RFHS met this challenge with imagination, innovation, and a spirit of adventure. Teaching in a virtual environment has its own set of unique challenges and rewards.

Join us for a panel discussion to explore the lessons learned in the first month of teaching online.  Our discussion will focus on what worked, what almost worked, and what didn’t from both the teacher and learner perspective.

Our Panelists:

Anita Soni – Course lead for the cardiovascular courses in undergraduate medicine, teacher in the PA program

Sergio Fanella – Course lead for the infectious disease and therapeutics course, teacher in the PA program, PD for the pediatric  infectious diseases residency program

Matthew Stecy – student in undergraduate medicine

Log in information will be sent to webinar registrants prior to the event.
