Facilitator: Leif Norman
Leif Norman is an all-purpose Winnipeg photographer who also produces podcasts, videos and Winnipeg’s only annual Photographic Festival, FLASH.
He has a Chemistry degree but only uses it for basement experiments in Victorian imagery.
Leif has been a professional photographer since 2010 and has worked for RMTC, RWB, the WAG, MTYP, the Manitoba Museum, ft3 architects, Winnipeg’s Contemporary Dancers, Design Fest, Icelandic Festival of Manitoba, Kids Fest and more. In addition to shooting events, theatre, and dance he also does headshots in Winnipeg for theatre and screen actors including Kevin McDonald of Kids in the Hall, and musicians such as John K Samson.
An article he wrote about the difference between a headshot and a portrait has become LeifNorman.net’s most popular page, getting viewed almost 10 times a day since 2012. It seems people needed some clarification about the topic and Leif accidentally knew the answer.
