Trauma Resuscitation in Kids TRIK June 17 & 18 2021
This two-day course starts with a review of the primary and secondary surveys and initial resuscitation including ample time to practice applying concepts learned. Delivery of the course consists of team-based high-fidelity simulation sessions, which are interspersed with short, small group, interactive case-based or didactic sessions and technical skills sessions for practicing procedures. Topics include head injury, airway management, upper body injuries, abdominal trauma, imaging interpretation and much more.
A certified instructor is provided for each module. The participant-to-instructor ratio is typically 6:1 or lower during the technical skills and simulation sessions.
Space is limited to a total of 22 participants in the provider course.
Target Audience
Custom designed for healthcare providers in Canada and abroad who manage pediatric trauma patients, with a focus on the leader and team roles.
The TRIK course is suitable for Emergency Physicians, Pediatricians, Family Physicians, Critical Care Physicians, Pediatric Surgery, General Surgery, Emergency Nurses, Physician Assistants and Respiratory Therapists. It is an accredited Section 1 and 3 learning activity as defined by the Royal College’s Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Program. We recommend (but do not require) that participants have current certification in Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) prior to taking this course.

Cancellation Policy
A $50 administration fee will be charged for all cancelled registrations, and there is no refund for cancellations within 14 days of the first day of the course.
