Description:

In this 3-day hands-on workshop, presented by CHI’s Data Science platform, you will learn how to create customized graphs using R’s ggplot2 library, one of the most popular graphics and visualization programs.  Previous introductory experience with R is required for this workshop.  To register for our “R for Absolute Beginners” workshop, click here.

Sessions will be held from 9am to 12pm (CT) on Tuesday, June 22nd; Wednesday, June 23rd and Thursday, June 24th.


Objectives:

  • Learn how to build graphs using geometeric objects and aesthetic mappings
  • Create scatter plots, box plots, violin plots, bar charts, and histograms
  • Learn how to facet, customize legends, add themes, etc.
  • Introduce ggmap
