Objectives
At the conclusion of this learning event, participants will be able to:
- Discuss the indications, cost, safety and efficacy of implantable contraception devices available on the Canadian market today. (Communicator, Family Medicine Expert)

- Demonstrate appropriate implantable contraceptive placement techniques, including strategies for managing difficult insertions and expected post insertion follow up. (Leader, Family Medicine Expert)
- Explain the importance of prenatal care, including minor and major complications of pregnancy. (medical expert, communicator)
- Identify the various stages of antenatal care and the required work-up for each visit. (advocate, medical expert, collaborator)
- Discuss advantages of breast feeding and deliver client education. (medical expert, communicator, leader)
