This program provides eight (8) 2-hour sessions held in person or online. These hands-on and interactive workshops teach essential skills to health care providers. Fridays at the University, together with the skills workshops, offers approximately 44 hours of high value, impactful lectures and skills workshops throughout the academic year.

Objectives

  • Explain the supporting evidence for commonly used office procedures in clinical practice, including indications for each procedure and potential pitfalls to watch out in performing these procedures.
  • Participate in hands-on opportunities to practice each skill in a safe, supportive environment.
  • Integrate real time feedback from facilitators and peers while performing a skill, leading to an objective change in knowledge and technical ability to perform that skill.
  • Demonstrate how spending time in an immersive learning environment with real time support from peers and experts in the subject matter can translate into skill development and increased confidence implementing that skill into practice.

Registration

All registrants: $200.00 per session

As Per CPD Medicine policy, the department requires any refund or cancelation request to be submitted in writing up to fourteen (14) days prior to the program or session start date . A $50 administrative fee will be withheld to cover transaction and administrative costs. Refund or cancelation requests made less than fourteen (14) days notice may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
