Description
The annual Manitoba Orthopaedic Symposium provides a forum for discussion of the latest management of orthopaedic problems. The topics are designed to appeal to a broad audience and to include all aspects of non-operative and operative musculoskeletal care and rehabilitation. It is designed to enhance the knowledge, skills and abilities of those participants who have an interest in these issues. The Manitoba Orthopaedic Symposium will cover essential topics in pediatric orthopaedics, hip and knee arthroplasty, and trauma. Additional talks will also cover subjects in rehabilitation, hand and foot surgery.
This event/program will be of interest to:
Orthopaedic Surgeons, Physicians, Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Athletic Therapists, Residents and Medical Students.
Objectives
- To review and discuss topics of importance in the care of the orthopaedic patient, or patients with musculoskeletal injury.
- To review methods to improve teamwork and patient care among various musculoskeletal care providers.
- To review the role of musculoskeletal health care practitioners in recognizing and addressing intimate partner violence.
- To review of topics in the orthopaedic fields of hip and knee arthroplasty, trauma, pediatrics, and oncology.
