A How-To Guide to Difficult Conversations about Whiteness

This workshop will be preceded by a Panel Presentation with Drs. Delia Douglas, Marcia Anderson and Ian Whetter from 12 – 1 pm.

Objectives:

1. Equip workshop participants with vocabulary and tools to initiate and participate in conversations about whiteness and racism
2. Increase awareness of the different needs and strategies when conversations involve BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Color) folks
3. Explore other power relationships and dynamics that will need to be attended to during these conversations
