Description:

A solid grounding in human anatomy is the basis for the work we do as physicians, rehabilitation professionals, and other health professionals.   But our grasp of this important subject can fade with years in practice.  Join us on Saturday, February 4, 2017 for the 2nd annual Back to Anatomy workshop!   Under the guidance of experienced human anatomy teachers, it’s your chance to work in small groups as you review the anatomy of the lower and upper extremities.  It’s “back to anatomy” in the lab you remember from your training for an “engrossing” morning!  In rotating stations, you will receive overviews of the key 3D spatial relationships in the shoulder, knee, elbow, and other structures.  You will explore a variety of prosected specimens and refresh and relearn the anatomy that underpins the diagnostic and therapeutic work you do every day in clinic.

Learning Objectives:

Provide practical examples of “context specific” anatomy application which are relevant for clinical practice.

Review the normal structure and function of the upper and lower extremities, and define unique aspects of bone, joints and muscle structure/function.

Advance your understanding and application human anatomy within clinical practice.
