Blood Disorders Day 2025
Program Description
Presented in cooperation with the Community Oncology Program at CancerCare Manitoba and the University of Manitoba, Blood Disorders Day 2025 is a full-day symposium of value to all health professionals. Sampling blood and interpreting the results of blood tests are core components of daily patient care. Blood Disorders Day has been specifically developed to provide practical and relevant information on hematology and blood disorders.
Target Audience
The target audience of the education program is primary care providers, including family physicians, nurse practitioners, and trainees. Interdisciplinary team members such as nurses, pharmacists, and educators are also a part of the target audience.
Learning Objectives
The program includes lectures, panel presentations, and interactive discussions designed to provide learners with practical and relevant information on blood disorders.
The learning objectives of the program are to:
• Develop an approach to the work up of patients with suspected blood disorders, especially those with laboratory abnormalities (e.g. anemia or other cytopenia).
• Utilize clinical algorithms to inform the diagnosis, management, and optimal referral of patients with blood disorders.
• Recognize the up to date treatment strategies for patients with common blood disorders.

This will be a hybrid event. Please choose the ticket for either attending in-person or virtual attendance. The event will be recorded and available to all registrants

A $50 administrative fee will be withheld to cover transaction and administrative costs. Refund or cancelation requests made less than fourteen (14) days notice may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
