Description:

Spend Saturday morning with us at our new jam-packed Breakfast with the Experts series! Three speakers will present on common infectious disease topics and guide the learner through practical case studies that address barriers to change in day-to-day practice. Space is limited, so register early! This session is of interest to family physicians, specialists, allied health and residents.

Course Objectives:

At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Initiate a workup for the most common causes of fever in travelers from the tropics and address barriers in knowledge that practitioners face in this process.
  • Accurately diagnose and initiate timely management for the most common life threatening causes of fever in returned travelers
  • Formulate a comprehensive and timely approach to diagnosing lymphadenopathy.
  • Identify knowledge barriers that practitioners have in identifying causes of lymphadenopathy.
  • Explain how practitioners can communicate HPV prevention strategies in discussions with their patients.
  • Integrate a management plan for patients with HPV infections.
