During this workshop key concepts that will assist health professional educators in implementing Indigenous health education in response to the TRC Calls to Action will be discussed along with suggestions and practices to facilitate these critical dialogues in the learning and work environment.
Learning Objectives:
After completing this session, participants will be able to:
• Define and describe racism, anti-racism and cultural safety as it relates to Indigenous health.
• Explain how racism and racial micro-aggressions show up in the learning environment.
• Critically reflect on concepts of whiteness and colonialism as they relate to Indigenous health.
