Description:

Many teachers in health professions programs also play the role of coach. However, what coaching entails is not always clear. In this session, participants will reflect on principles of coaching and coaching behaviours in order to clarify roles and choose their actions accordingly.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of the session, participants will be able to

  • describe coaching as it relates to their educational setting
  • explain how coaching fits with teaching
  • apply coaching principles to their teaching contexts.
