  • Module 4 – Chronic Care of Residents Residing in PCHs
  • Module 5 – Delirium in the PCH during COVID;

About our presenter:

Dr. Elizabeth Rhynold is a geriatrician working in Manitoba’s Prairie Mountain Health Region for the last 4 years. Prior to this, she worked as a community geriatrician in New Brunswick after finishing her Royal College Fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at the University of British Columbia. She provides comprehensive geriatric assessments for frail older adults residing in the community and in personal care homes (PCH) within Prairie Mountain Health. Early in the pandemic, she became the interim PCH Medical Director for the PCHs that are run by PMH. During the pandemic, she has participated in national geriatric forums sharing emerging resources to support the care of residents of PCHs during this time when there has been an evolving risk of COVID-19 outbreaks. In June 2020 she supervised a Home for the Summer Student, Katherine Lee (Med1 2019/2020 University of Manitoba), who participated as a guest speaker during the final session.
