This course will cover basic concepts of dental photography and the techniques for the acquisition of excellent intra and extra oral clinical photographs. Participants will be exposed to a digital analysis process that will utilize the obtained records and be used to help in diagnosis, treatment planning and to improve the communication among treatment providers.
During the hands on session participants will be supplied with images of clinical scenarios and will be assisted in applying the concepts reviewed during the didactic portion of the course using their own laptop computers. A technique to fabricate an aesthetic prototype will be demonstrated and performed on dental casts. A template with the basic steps of the smile analysis and designing sequence will be distributed to aid participants in their daily practice.
