This workshop will support faculty teaching from novice to expert. The focus is on the Concept-Based Curriculum, teaching conceptually, and active learning strategies. Sessions will be engaging and interactive.

May 14th: The morning session (0800-1215) will benefit the novice to expert teacher in developing and advancing best practices for teaching conceptually.

May 14th. The afternoon session (1245-1700) will focus on the developing teacher: lesson planning, incorporating inter-related concepts with exemplars, and best practices for implementing concept based curriculum.

Please register for either the morning, afternoon or full day session by May 1st.

May 15th: Faculty will be invited to sign up for small group consultations with Dr. Rosati. Please contact Cheryl to book your consult (cheryl.dika@umanitoba.ca).

Facilitator: 

Dr. Jane Rosati is a well-known speaker, workshop presenter and contributing author on the topic of concept based learning and active learning techniques in the classroom.
