Feedback to the Clinical Learner: The Daily Micro-dose
Feedback is essential to learners’ professional and personal development. Yet, learners report receiving little feedback during training. Furthermore, feedback that is received often does not provide assistance in changing practice or performance. This workshop will provide teachers with a framework to address these challenges. Participants will explore how coaching techniques, coupled with frequent micro-doses of feedback, will assist learners in achieving their learning goals.
After this session, participants will be able to:
- Describe how coaching and daily feedback micro-doses will help to facilitate learning
- Use a coaching framework in clinical teaching
- Apply principles of effective feedback to coaching conversations.
