Objectives

  • Review the evidence in the management of  chronic kidney disease and the use of SGLT2 inhibitors as part of this management strategy. (Medical Expert, Scholar)
  • Discuss common renal etiologies of proteinuria and their management. (Medical Expert)
  • Explore the role of the primary care provider in the co-management of clients/patients and special populations with ESRD. (Medical Expert, Collaborator, Health Advocate)
  • Formulate an outpatient management plan for renal colic and post-renal acute kidney injury (AKI). (Medical Expert, Communicator)
  • Discuss the diagnostic approach and management of electrolyte disturbances.(Medical Expert)
