Objectives

  • Recognize how eye care is organized in Manitoba and how to get your patient seen by the right eye care provider (Health Advocate, Collaborator)
  • Diagnose and treat a red eye (Medical Expert)
  • Differentiate between common benign and malignant eyelid lesions (Medical Expert)
  • Compare and contrast common blinding eye diseases of the elderly with regards to presentation, pathogenesis, prognosis, and treatment. (Medical Expert, Communicator)
  • Recognize essential components of the pediatric eye exam and diagnoses (Medical Expert)
  • Discuss the management of ocular trauma in the community (Medical Expert, Communicator, Health Advocate)
  • Describe cataracts and the goals of modern cataract surgery (Medical Expert, Leader, Scholar)

Only paid registrants can receive credits and access speakers’ presentations post-event.

A $50 administrative fee will be withheld to cover transaction and administrative costs.
