Innovation and Clarity in Long Term Care November 24 2018
The Innovation and Clarity in Long Term Care Conference is an inaugural education event that is jointly planned by the WRHA Long Term Care Program (LTC) and the University of Manitoba, CPD Medicine Program. It will provide a full-day of education in 7 key areas relevant to LTC: behaviours in dementia, deprescribing, wound care, the dementia journey, end-of-life care and resident transfers. The target audience is health care professionals working in long term care, personal care homes, geriatrics or with older adults, including physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, physician assistants, pharmacists, and other allied health professionals.
AT THE CONCLUSION OF THIS EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITY, THE PARTICIPANT SHOULD BE ABLE TO:
- Apply the relevant and timely information provided for physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, pharmacists, nurses, and other allied health professionals working in LTC.
- Effectively address common issues in Long Term Care (e.g. wound care) and “think outside the box” to look at innovative strategies in managing new or challenging issues in Long-Term Care.

REFUND POLICY
A registration refund will be made upon written request prior to November 2, 2018. A $35.00 administrative fee will be retained. No refunds will be made for cancellations after November 2, 2018.
Credits
This Group Learning program has been certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada and the Manitoba Chapter for up to 6.75 Mainpro+ credits.
Participants should only claim credit for the actual number of hours attended

The conference will be available to paid registrants via livestream. At Checkout you will be asked to indicate whether you will attend live at the Bannatyne Campus or via livestream from your electronic device.
