Leadership in Teams: Inter, Intra, and Uni-professional – November 29, 2022 (Webinar)
Leadership in health professions education requires a different skill the corporate world. Academic health sciences environments are both collegial and hierarchical, have competing missions, and function as complex adaptive systems. Using a teaching cases from a clinical context, this workshop will help prepare participants with the knowledge and tools to lead teams in our complex and challenging clinical teaching environments.
Learning Objectives:
- Differentiate between types of team (shared) leadership
- Describe collaborative team behaviors to support shared decision-making
- Explain barriers and challenges to effective collaboration and teamwork
- Apply shared leadership practices to educational and clinical contexts
