“When One and One is Greater than Two – Diagnosis and Treatment of Co-Occurring Anxiety and Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorders”
This two day virtual event offers a unique in person and virtual educational opportunity to meet and learn from leaders in the diagnosis and management of Anxiety and Attentional disorders in children, youth and adults. Join us for in person, face to face lectures and breakout groups, as well as virtual presentations. Our Keynote Speaker is Dr. Katharina Manassis, internationally recognized expert, author and Professor Emerita at the University of Toronto.
Overall Learning Objectives:
- To develop familiarity with the diagnosis of Anxiety Disorders and Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorders (AD/HD) in pediatric and adult populations
- To differentiate between these disorders and to recognize when the disorders are co-occurring;
- To review the cognitive behavioral based treatment approaches for co-occurring Anxiety Disorders and AD/HD in pediatric and adult populations
- To review the psychotropic medication treatment approaches for co-occurring Anxiety Disorders and AD/HD in pediatric and adult populations
- To develop understanding and empathy for the challenges faced by patients who struggle with these Disorders

- To describe a biopsychosocial assessment of anxiety in youth
- To review the work with systems in the management of anxiety disorders in youth.
- To explore treatment of complex anxiety disorders in youth
Dr. Cassandra Adduri – “ADHD across the lifespan”
By attending this session, the participant will be able to:
- Be aware of ADHD symptomatology, prevalence, and how symptoms present in childhood, adolescence and adulthood
- Appreciate the functional consequences associated with ADHD
- Understand comorbidities and treatment

- Delineate a biopsychosocial treatment plan for cooccurring attentional and attentional symptoms.

As Per CPD Medicine policy, the department requires any refund or cancelation request to be submitted in writing up to fourteen (14) days prior to the program or session start date . A $50 administrative fee will be withheld to cover transaction and administrative costs. Refund or cancelation requests made less than fourteen (14) days notice may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
