Point of Care Ultrasound by PAs (PoCUS by PAs)
This professional development workshop is inspired by the Canadian Point of Care Ultrasound Society (CPoCUS) Family Medicine CORE Track Curriculum.
It is a ½ day (4 hours) hands on workshop developed by PAs and will teach you the fundamentals of PoCUS using simulation technology and live patients. The workshop uses a practical approach to adult education within an interdisciplinary environment targeting Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Assistants, Respiratory Therapists and Paramedics, but we are open to all learners.
This course does not require any previous PoCUS knowledge or experience; that’s what we want to give you !
There is some pretty heavy pre-workshop work that you have to do, so be prepared to learn. Read more below.
This workshop does not certify you to use PoCUS in your practice.
