This one-credit-per-hour Group Learning program meets the certification criteria of the College of Family Physicians of Canada and has been approved by the CPD Medicine Program, University of Manitoba for up to 1 Mainpro+ credits. This event is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and approved by the CPD Medicine Program, University of Manitoba for a maximum of 1 hours. Participants should only claim credit for the actual number of hours attended. Description:

Teaching dossiers are a critical component of your academic dossier.  Required for promotion and tenure, they are a record of your philosophy of teaching, how it is enacted through your teaching practice, as well as a record of your teaching activities.

By attending this session, you will be able to

  • create a personal teaching dossier,
  • list possible uses for a teaching dossier in your academic career, and
  • discuss how creating a teaching dossier can be used to improve teaching.
