Description:
This 3-day hands-on and in-person workshop, presented by CHI’s Data Science platform, will introduce participants to R by providing instruction and hands-on exercises. Participants will gain understanding of basic workflows in R, including data manipulation, graphics, and programming. We will be emphasizing the tidyverse family of packages in R.
No prior experience with R will be assumed. Please bring your own computer. Instructions for installing R and RStudio will be provided a few days before the workshop begins.
Sessions will be held from 9am to 12pm (CT) on Monday, Sept 23rd, Wednesday, Sept 25th and Friday, Sept 27th.

Objectives:
- Introduction to R – why use it, user interface (R Studio) and basic data structures.
- Overview of data management techniques using the tidyverse package.
- Learn elementary graphic functions for data visualization.
- Learn how to import and export datasets.
Cost:
$50.00 – Academic trainees and students (post-docs included), $150.00 – Non-profit organizations staff, $300.00 – Industry professionals

Registration Cancellation Policy:
A registration refund will be made upon written request on or before September 18th, 2024. A $35 administrative fee will be retained. No refunds will be made for cancellations after this date.
