Objectives

  • Identify novel perspectives in the management of menopause and implement a communication strategy to discuss with patients/clients in primary care (Medical Expert, Communicator, Scholar)
  • Explain what Chronic Pain Syndrome is and formulate an approach to diagnosis and management of Chronic Pain Syndrome/Fibromyalgia (Medical Expert, Collaborator, Scholar)
  • Review the Canadian Obesity guidelines and discuss emerging data and future directions in obesity management (Medical Expert, Health Advocate, Scholar)
  • As a result of attending this evidence, rate your ability to recognize the current barriers and the role of the primary care physician in access to gender affirming care for Transgender and Gender Diverse Adults ( Medical Expert, Communicator, Collaborator, Health Advocate, Scholar, Professional)
  • As a result of attending this evidence, rate your ability to incorporate the best available evidence to help inform decision making for common and new primary care conditions. ( Medical Expert, Communicator, Leader, Health Advocate, Scholar)
