Description:

This refresher skills workshop will review techniques in preforming an office ophthalmology eye exam and review of common office occular procedures.


Cancellation:

Full refund less a $35 administrative fee if cancelled 10 days or more prior to the event.  No refund will be provided after this time.


Credits:

Please be advised, in accordance with the new Mainpro+ standards, the College of Family Physicians of Canada requires that all participants are obliged to complete a post-reflective activity within 30 days of the activity in order to claim two credits per hour for the Skills Workshop. This post-reflective exercise will be emailed to participants the day of the activity.

Please note, participants will receive a certificate of participant/letter or credit hours upon completion of all components, including the post-program requirements. Participants not completing all of the required program elements will only be eligible to claim non-certified credits.

Registrants must complete the following required documentation:

  • Needs Assessment – emailed prior to the course in order for the participants to advise the speaker what they want to learn about
  • Session Evaluation – provided the day of the course to evaluate how we did
  • MainPro+ Post-reflective Activity – emailed the day of the course to assess how the session impacted your practice

 

Location:  Children’s Eye Clinic (Ophthalmology) – Yellow Deer Zone (Level 2), Health Sciences Centre

Note: If you aren’t sure where the lab is, the Program Coordinator will assist you. Meet outside of Theatre A, Basic Medical Sciences Building, at 1:15 PM on that day.
