Description:

Incorporating Communication Skills teaching within Health Sciences Education can be challenging.  This workshop will discuss current guides and resources for integrating communication skills.

By the end of this session participants will be able to:

  • identify strengths and weaknesses within one’s current communication skills teaching
  • describe how to teach and evaluate communication skills
  • discuss how to give feedback using the Calgary-Cambridge Communication Skills Guide.

This series was co-developed with the CPD Medicine Program, University of Manitoba and was planned to achieve scientific integrity, objectivity and balance.

This Group Learning program meets the certification criteria of the College of Family Physicians of Canada and has been certified by the CPD Medicine Program, University of Manitoba for up to 1.0 Mainpro+ credit.
