Description:

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • recognize the importance of defining evidence-based medicine by its essential components in order to apply it to individualized care
  • identify key characteristics of a clinical role model for effective evidence-based practice teaching
  • understand the role of information mastery in evidence-based practice teaching
  • review the basic, but essential, biostatistics that clinical teachers must be able to translate to clinical learners
  • examine possible solutions to commonly cited barriers to teaching evidence-based practice in a clinical setting.
