Thompson Community Based CPD Program for Primary Care 2017 to 2018
Description:
Operating in 12 Manitoba communities, this program offers physicians practicing outside of Winnipeg the opportunity for on-site or videoconference CPD sessions. In addition, all sites receive the Bannatyne Campus Program by videoconference through MBTelehealth.
In order to address the unique clinical characteristics of each community, this program has community physicians who chair each session. These physicians identify the learning needs of their colleagues and work with the U of M CPD Medicine Program to organize CPD events.
The Community-Based Program is supported by an unrestricted education grant from the Office of Rural and Northern Health.
