COURSE OVERVIEW:

National Prosthodontic Awareness Week is an opportunity to provide the profession with more information on what prosthodontists can provide to assist oral healthcare providers care for their patients. This program aims to provide the general oral health community information on the procedures that prosthodontists can provide and how digital dentistry is revolutionizing how care is provided. The program will cover all areas of digital dentistry, including how to perform better tooth preparations, and how to complete two appointment dentures with a computer milled denture. The range of materials that can be milled and printed will be presented. The various components that dentists and labs need to purchase will be presented. Course participants will learn how to practically apply digital work flow to their practice.

 

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

  • Identify what prosthodontists look at when evaluating a patient
  • Demonstrate various types of fixed prosthetic restorations
  • Compare various types of fixed prosthodontic materials including the new ones on the market
  • Differentiate various types of removable prosthetic restorations
  • Clarify when each type of removable prosthesis are indicated
  • Managing removable prosthothesis

Registrants can receive a refund provided they give written notice no later than fourteen (14) days prior to the event. An administration fee will be retained to cover staff costs of processing refunds and other costs associated with cancellations.

The University of Manitoba reserves the right to cancel or postpone any educational program due to an insufficient number of registrations. The decision to cancel will normally be made at least fourteen (14) days prior to the program date. Each registrant will be notified by email and provided with a full refund of all registration costs.
